Binge the World, One Journey at a Time

There was a time when conversations felt real. When asking “How are you?” wasn’t just a formality—it was a moment of human connection. These days, it feels like we’re living in fast‑forward. Everyone is in a rush, no time for small courtesies, no space for genuine care.

I message someone and ask how they’re doing, not because I’m bored, but because I mean it. Yet, most replies stop at “I’m good.” Few people ever ask back how I am. It’s such a small thing, but it says so much about how detached we’ve become.

Maybe everyone’s tired. Maybe empathy takes more energy than people have left. But I can’t help missing the days when kindness flowed naturally—when people listened, asked, cared.

We talk endlessly online, but rarely connect.

Maybe it’s time we slowed down, remembered what being human feels like, and made space for each other again.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” — Leo Buscaglia

Just shows you that sometimes the convos are repetitive and therefore boring – you’re asking a question I had already answered yet again . Grrrrrrrrrrrrr !

      Ha ha ..
That’s such a real observation—sometimes our conversations really do fall into patterns and repetitions, almost like rituals!
It can become dull when the same questions circle back, but maybe these repetitions are also a kind of comfort, or a way we show care even if it’s awkward or imperfect.

    😆 🤣 😂
I’ve tried many times in the past to ginger same guy positively, but he doesn’t like to be ‘shown’ the other way . . . Quite so rigid in his ways.
