Binge the World, One Journey at a Time

  • What technology would you be better off without, why?

    Honestly?
All of it. The entire technology buffet.
If I could unsubscribe from the 21st century, I would.

I want to go back to the glory days of the landline, where the whole family used to run like Olympic athletes when it rang.
Today’s kids will never know the thrill of shouting, “Don’t pick it up, it’s for ME!”

I want the postman back — the hero who brought letters, postcards, and the occasional electricity bill that ruined the whole week.
Now it’s just emails and spam promotions like: “Congratulations, you’ve won nothing!”

And I miss the time when we stood at our compound gates, gossiping with neighbours like we were Doordarshan news reporters.
Today, the only neighbourly thing we do is steal each other’s WiFi.

    We used to talk.
    Now we “text.”
    We used to visit.
    Now we send emojis.
    We used to live.
    Now we update status.

So yes, if I could, I’d happily downgrade my life —
from high-speed internet to high-quality conversations,
from 5G to ‘Come home for chai’,
from notifications to knocking on doors.

One day, we’ll realise the strongest connection wasn’t WiFi — it was people.

If technology doesn’t slow down, at least we can….

    Take care 💞

  • If there’s one thing that powers India—no, wait, powers life itself—it’s chai.
Not coffee, not energy drinks, not motivational quotes… just that one magical cup that says, “Relax, I got you.”

    Chai isn’t just a drink.
    It’s emotion.
    It’s therapy.
    It’s GPS for the soul.
And yes—it’s the ultimate fuel for travellers like us.

A Cup That Travels With You

Every journey begins with a suitcase… and a cup of chai.
Railway stations with the vendor shouting “chai garam!”, airports with overpriced paper cups, road trips with flask-wala chai, hillside dhabas steaming in the cold—that’s the real travel soundtrack.

    In fact, I’m convinced:
If you haven’t had chai on the road, are you even travelling?

Why Tea is the True Travel Partner

    1. Because chai understands moods better than humans.

    Sleepy? It wakes you up.
    Stress? It calms you.
Overthinking? One sip and you forget everything.
    Bored? Chai becomes company.

    2. Every destination has its own version of tea.

Travel teaches you culture—and chai teaches you flavour.

Benaras has kadak tannin-rich chai in kullads.

Kolkata has “special chai” with cream on top.

    Kashmir offers buttery noon-chai.

Kerala brings cardamom chai that smells like heaven.

Dharamshala gives ginger tea with mountain views that cure 90% of life’s problems.

    Every cup tells a story.

    3. Best conversations always happen over tea.

Travel companions become friends, strangers become storytellers, and mountains look more beautiful when you’re holding a warm glass of chai.

    A Traveller’s Chai Philosophy

Every time I travel, chai is the anchor.
It’s the moment where you pause, breathe, and say:
Yes, this is why I’m here.”

It’s funny—Google Maps helps you reach a place, but chai helps you feel it.

    🍀🍀🍀

Why Tea is the Ultimate Fuel for Life

    Tea gives clarity.
    Tea gives warmth.
    Tea gives comfort.
And let’s be honest—tea gives us the strength to deal with people, deadlines, and reality.

    For some, it’s caffeine.
    For us, it’s a ritual.

If You Love Tea, You’re My People

    Because tea lovers don’t rush.
    They absorb.
    They observe.
    They experience.
They travel not just to see places but to taste moments.

And every moment tastes better with chai.
    🌿🌿🌿

    So here’s to the wanderers…

Who holds a cup in one hand
    And dreams in the other.
    May your journeys be long,
    Your stories be rich,
And your chai…. always be hot.

Until next time, take care. 💛

  • Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

In my family, the holidays are incomplete without two dishes that instantly bring everyone together — fragrant biryani and rich, creamy caramel pudding. 🍽️✨

🌼 Biryani isn’t just food for us, it’s an emotion.
It’s the dish that fills the whole house with aromas of caramelized onions, ghee, saffron, and warm spices. Everyone has a role to play — someone chops the mint and coriander, someone fries the onions, someone keeps checking the dum (steam) as if guarding a treasure. And the moment the lid opens, it feels like the festival has officially started. 🎉

🍮 Caramel Pudding is always our sweet finale.
Smooth, silky, cool, and perfectly caramelized — it’s the dessert that calms the soul after a spicy feast. It’s a holiday classic in our home, because it takes time and patience to make, just like good memories. And the best part? Everyone waits for it more than the biryani!

Together, these two dishes carry our family’s tradition — a touch of spice, a dash of sweetness, and a whole lot of love. ❤️
No matter where we celebrate, as long as biryani and caramel pudding are on the table, it feels like home.

Two dishes, countless memories — that’s what holidays are made of in our home.

  • We wake up, we work, we dream, we chase, we succeed, and yet…
somewhere inside us, there’s a quiet emptiness we can’t explain.

We’re smart enough to know what we want,
but confused enough to never feel satisfied with what we have.

Why does awareness make life both beautiful and heavy?

Why do humans ache for more, even when everything is already in front of them?

Why does contentment feel like a temporary visitor?

These questions stayed with me like shadows.
So I wrote about them — gently, slowly, honestly.

And that’s how Almost Content was born.
A book not about answers, but about understanding the ache inside us.

It is a short, reflective read for anyone who:

    ✨ thinks deeply
    ✨ feels too much
    ✨ overthinks their emotions
✨ is always “almost happy but not quite there”

It’s the kind of book you don’t rush through —
the kind you sip like warm tea.

If the quiet side of you is looking for company,
this book might sit with you beautifully.

  • There are some writings that do not preach faith, yet they make you feel God. This piece by Vidya Krishna, Bangalore shows how kindness becomes worship, and how God walks with those who walk gently in this world.

    🌸🌸🌸

The noble one, God stands with him
In his troubles, God cries with him

The one who feeds the hungry
God sows peace in his abode

The one who heals wounds of others like a physician
    God sleeps beside him

The one who carries the burdens of others
    God personally carries his load

The one who shares the pain of others
God washes off all his sins

The one who gives away pearly smiles in charity
God, strings pearls in his life

The person who is the messiah of the meek
God, not lost on him, even for a moment…

    🌸🌸🌸

May our goodness be the place where divinity chooses to rest.💕

  • Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?

Give me the beach, the mountains, the desert, or the jungle—I don’t mind where I am, as long as it’s outdoors. 🍀

Nature is my comfort zone. Some people chase cities and skylines, but I find my peace in landscapes, sunrises, and the wind that carries different stories in different places🌿

The beach gives calm with its endless blue horizon…
The mountains challenges with their steep paths and quiet strength…
The desert humbles us with its vast silence…
And the jungle surprises at every turn with life buzzing in every corner.

I don’t have a favorite because each terrain teaches me something unique.
    So, my answer?

    Anywhere under the open sky.

    Just take me outside. 🌿🌊🏔️🌵🦋

  • What are your family’s top 3 favorite meals?

In my family, meals are more than food — they’re little celebrations. If I had to pick our top three favorites, it would be these:

🍛 Biryani: A festival on a plate, full of aroma, arguments over who got the bigger piece of chicken, and lots of laughter.

🥘 Homemade Butter Chicken with Rotis: Creamy, comforting, and usually followed by someone taking a “small nap” that turns into two hours.

🥣 Khichdi with Pickle & Curd: Simple, humble, and strangely the most soothing meal on busy days — tastes like home itself.

Different moods, one thing in common — we love eating together. ❤️

  • Do you trust your instincts?

Yes, I do trust my instincts — but even more than mine, I trust my husband’s.
Every time he has advised me, it has always worked in my favour.
There were moments when he stopped me from going somewhere and I felt upset, but later I always realised it was for the best. His sixth sense, his gut feeling… it’s incredibly strong. It has guided me, protected me, and saved me more than once. He’s truly like my guiding star.

Trust your instincts and listen to what your heart tells you — it rarely betrays you. Every person has these inner signals; the only difference is how strongly we feel them and how willing we are to act on them. Some emotions come softly, some with force, but they all guide us toward what’s meant for us.

    God bless ✨

  • Bali isn’t just a destination — it’s a feeling. The moment you step onto the island, you’re greeted by warm smiles, fragrant incense, and the soothing sound of ocean waves. For travellers seeking a mix of adventure, culture, and pure relaxation, Bali offers the perfect escape.

From its emerald rice terraces to its dramatic cliffside temples, the island is overflowing with beauty that feels almost unreal. Every sunrise brings a new adventure, and every sunset paints the sky in colours you didn’t know existed.

One of the biggest charms of Bali is its diversity. In Seminyak, you’ll find boutique cafés, beach clubs, and world-class restaurants. Head south to Uluwatu, and you’ll be rewarded with turquoise waters, limestone cliffs, and one of the most breathtaking temples in Indonesia. In Ubud, the spiritual heart of Bali, lush forests, waterfalls, and centuries-old traditions welcome travellers looking to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Bali is also a paradise for adventure lovers. Whether you want to hike up an active volcano at sunrise, dive with manta rays in Nusa Penida, or swing over the jungle at Tegalalang, the island offers experiences you’ll remember forever. And when you’re ready to unwind, luxurious spas and tranquil resorts offer the perfect dose of pampering.

What makes Bali truly unforgettable, however, is its energy. It embraces you, inspires you, and stays with you long after you return home. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with family, Bali has something for everyone.

So if you’re dreaming of a place where nature, culture, and adventure blend effortlessly — pack your bags. Bali is waiting.

  • Today feels surreal.🌿
Something I’ve quietly carried in my heart for months has finally stepped out into the world.🍀
My first book, Almost Content, is now officially published on Amazon Kindle.
And I’m still absorbing the weight and softness of that sentence.

    This book wasn’t planned.
    It wasn’t outlined.
It wasn’t created for applause or achievement.
It was born from quiet moments, gentle questions, and the tender confusion that makes us human.

    Why are we always searching?
Why does contentment feel like a visitor instead of a home?
Why does awareness feel both beautiful and heavy?

Almost Content is my reflection on these questions —
not to solve them, but to sit with them.

If you enjoy thoughtful writing, soft philosophy, and introspective conversations,
I hope this book finds you gently.
